Student Swipe helps university students discover collaborators, communicate, and complete SkillSprint projects.
Information we collect
- Account information, including your email address and authentication identifier.
- Profile information you submit, such as name, university, course, year, biography, skills, goals and photos.
- Activity you create, including swipes, matches, messages, SkillSprints, invitations, tasks, evidence and endorsements.
- Device notification tokens and notification preferences.
- Approximate or precise location only when you choose “locate me” on the campus map. Location is used on-device to show nearby campuses and is not stored in your Student Swipe profile.
- Safety reports you choose to submit.
How we use information
We use it to operate matching, messaging, SkillSprint collaboration, notifications, safety controls and account support. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers and sharing
Student Swipe uses Google Firebase services for authentication, database storage, file storage, cloud functions and notifications, and Google Sign-In when selected. Information is shared with other signed-in students only where needed for profile discovery, matches and team collaboration. Reports are restricted to authorised administration.
Retention and security
Information is retained while your account is active and is protected by authenticated access and Firebase security rules. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, disable notification categories, unmatch or block students, leave projects, and delete your account from Settings. Account deletion permanently removes the account and associated data, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention or legal obligations.
Deletion and contact
You can also use the external account deletion page. For privacy questions, use the developer contact shown on the Student Swipe Google Play listing.
